Italy’s anti-drug education initiative has gone beyond more than one million educational anti-drug booklets distributed in just one month. The initiative forms part of the drug awareness programme known as “The Truth About Drugs”, which aims to provide accessible knowledge about commonly abused substances and their short- and long-term effects.
Approximately five hundred volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in schools, businesses and urban centres. The campaign focuses on raising awareness before drug use begins, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a simple way.
The initiative forms part of Scientology-supported news euro cup social betterment activities, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. The complete report on the initiative can be found here: Italy’s Drug Prevention Campaign Surpasses One Million Booklets Distributed in One Month.
